Kidbea raises Rs.1.5 crore from Agility Ventures

New Delhi:  Kidbea, a sustainable kidswear brand based in Noida, has secured a pre-seed funding round of Rs. 1.5 crores. The brand is being funded by Agility Ventures, along with some individual co-investors, including Nandi Mehta, the CFO of Kaaf Funds, Tapas Sahu, the Chairman of the CII in Jharkhand, Divij Bajaj, the founder of Power Gummies, Abhishek Kocchar, founder of Diamond overseas, and Vivekananda Nareddula, the founder of Apaizer.

The founders intend to use the funds to boost marketing efforts, expand the team, and improve R&D activities within the Indian kidswear market.

Founded in 2021 by Swapnil Srivastav, Mohammed Hussain, and Aman Kumar Mahto, Kidbea makes certified organic spill-proof, anti-bacterial, breathable and softest kidswear in the world. Kidswear brand has patented spill-proof and fragrance technology that makes it unique in India and worldwide. The aim is to provide non-toxic, sustainable products to children and relaxed parenting to every toddler’s parent.

Kidbea has already raised two rounds of funds, including the angel round that took place in March this year.

The co-founder of Agility Ventures, Dhianu Das, commented on Kidbea’s three consecutive funding rounds, “Kidswear has the highest growth potential in India, and we feel privileged to be a part of it with Kidbea.” With the help of its highly experienced team in Kidswear and advisors in fashion, marketing, and production, the start-up is positioned to reach a large market share. Their dedication towards working to capture the Kidswear market in India and building a brand that Indian parents can trust is highly assuring.”

Swapnil Srivastav, the founder of Kidbea, commented on the fundraising, “As a D2C founder, I believe we should understand our customer’s needs rather than following tips and tricks since every tip and trick will ultimately fail, but what will remain constant is how well your consumers understand your product. So, we at Kidbea always focus on building a long-term relationship with our consumers, to get a better understanding of what they want and how we can improve every day. As a Founder, we personally interact with our consumers every Friday to make sure they are getting the best experience with us. Ultimately, it is our relationships that keep us moving.”

‘Kidbea has come into being as we redesigned our business approach based on a gap in the market for branded children’s wear in India,” explains Mohammed Hussain, Kidbea’s co-founder.

The co-founder of Kidbea, Aman Kumar Mahto, said, “A product can be copied, but a brand is unique. A product can become outdated, but a successful brand is timeless. A great design will not sell an inferior product, but it will enable a great product to reach its full potential. On Kidbea’s future plans, he stated, “In the next two years, we will launch designer Indian ethnic kidswear, onboard top Indian fashion designers, and make Kidbea among India’s top three Kidswearbrands.”
